    White Knight Recruitment are working with a national provider of adult social care and have an opportunity for a Activities Coordinator to work at a residential service in Ampthill.
    Reporting into the management team you will be responsible for leading the activities team, identifying, developing and delivering social and recreational activities, events and outings both inside and outside the service with customers to enhance their daily living
    You would be based at a 36 bed unit in Ampthill. Close to the town centre and an easy commute of both Milton Keynes and Bedford. The home supports adults with physical disabilities.
    The position is for 35 hours per week and paying an hourly rate of £11.38 per hour. (£20,768 per annum)
    As part of your responsibilities you would be expected to:
    ·Identify and organise a comprehensive activities programme in conjunction with individual client’s needs.
    ·Manage the budget for social and recreational activities
    ·Work with client’s to create a programme that interests them and using their person centred plan to help them achieve their goals
    ·Responsible for inducting all staff on the activities team, promote on-going staff development through personal reviews, regular supervisions, annual appraisals and team meetings
    ·Access community resources to help plan activities and events
    ·Liaise with other agencies involved in leisure and recreation
    ·Coordinate, motivate and encourage volunteers team
    ·Act as an escort / driver on social outings
    ·Comply with all health and safety
    ·Be aware of individual customer risk assessments relating to specific support needs for example dysphagia, mobility and safety
    The preferred candidate will have achieved the following:
    ·Be working towards or hold an appropriate level 3 in activities
    ·Be able to demonstrate experience of researching, planning and organising activities
    ·Have a flexible approach to your working week
    ·Full clean driving licence
    ·Experience in working with disabilities
    ·Staff management experience
    ·Budget experience
    ·Excellent interpersonal skills
    ·Be able to train, coach and motivate a team
