  • Job Description

    Our client provide services that enable and empower the people it supports and its staff. As a Service Manager who would be willing to make a difference in the lives of the people they support and work within the range of services tailored to the needs of individuals with complex and challenging needs. The services range from the provision of Respite Care and Outreach to Supported Living. Please note that the service users at this particular service are non-verbal, have speech limitations and access wheelchair for their day to day activities. Any experience working with the above will be beneficial.

    The duties and responsibilities for the service manager are as below:

    ·To provide independent living and enable the people we support to live in their own home as independently as possible.
    ·Manage the day to day running of the service. Ensuring a high standard of personalised care at all times by proper utilisation of the resources available and implementing agreed care plans and policies as appropriate.
    ·Provide effective leadership and support to all staff and participate in direct work with the people we support.
    ·To participate in duty rota Including weekends and evenings, to carry sleeping-in and wake night duties when required, to supervise, to assist in order to maintain 24-hour staff cover for a consistent care.
    ·Be responsible for managing or overseeing rotas, and ensure appropriate cover is in place at all times.
    ·Please note it’s a 24/7, 365 days a year service so weekend and evening work, including 2 sleep-ins pro-rota will be required as part of your normal working hours.

    Qualifications and Training
    ·Good general level of education, including basic reading and writing skills (Essential)
    ·Commitment to undertake necessary further training, including Level 5 Leadership and Management in Social Care (Essential)
    ·Experience for caring people with complex needs (Essential)

    You may also be required to travel between as may be required for the performance of your duties so a full driving license if required and you must have access to a vehicle that you are prepared to use for work purposes.
