Pleasant Surprise from White Knight
Over forty people that have worked through White Knight Recruitment received a pleasant surprise last week. They all received a payment that many of them hadn’t realised was due to them.
By law, every candidate who works on a temporary basis is entitled to a separate amount of money for ‘Holiday Pay’. Many temporary workers aren’t aware of this law and don’t claim it or simply forget to do so.
“Often when candidates stop working on a temporary basis, they are either moving away or are focused on a new job” says White Knight Director Richard Curtis. “With all these distractions on their minds they often forget to request the pay that they are entitled to”.
So, at regular periods throughout the year, White Knight ensures that anyone who has forgotten to claim receives the holiday pay that they are owed. White Knight is proud to state that in all their years of trading no holiday payment has ever been missed.
And the news is about to get better, because from Monday 1st October 2007 the law changes and there is an increase in the amount of holiday pay that everyone is entitled to!
