Position: Deputy Manager – £30kpa
Purpose of Position:
·• Under the guidance of the Manager to take specific responsibility for the management of the Domiciliary Care Team
·• To ensure all services are provided in a person-centred way using an outcome based person centred approach.
·• To ensure the day to day management and administration of the service in accordance with statutory regulations, company policies and procedures
·• To contribute to the overall development of the service.
·• To be involved in the recruitment of staff within the service. To follow the company recruitment policies and procedures.
·• To work closely with all departments within local authorities to build upon and nurture our established Partnership Approach
Principal Responsibilities:
·• To manage referrals that are taken from local authorities and/or the private sector and to manage the subsequent assessments of individual care needs in conjunction with the Registered Manager
·• To assist in the planning and implementing of care packages for individual service users
·• To oversee staff rosters to ensure the correct skilled staff allocation to meet the needs of the service users within pre-defined budgets and funding agreements.
·• To ensure that all Support Workers who work with new service users are fully briefed to enable them to carry out their role effectively
·• To carry out assessments on prospective service users In conjunction with the Registered Manager

·• To participate in staff training/development when this is deemed appropriate in order to carry out the full requirements of the post.
·• To take responsibility for confirming the timesheets of Support Workers on Coldharbour and passing them through to payroll
·• Liaise with, Social Workers, GP’s, CPN’s, District Nurses and other key people when appropriate regarding changes in care packages and ensure that their awareness is raised in any change of circumstances with the initial assessments or care and support package.
·• To work flexibly over 7 days, to include evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of the service, which will include participation in the organisation and staffing of Out of Hours On Call Service.
Person Specification
·• To have had some managerial experience and to have had responsibilities for the management and supervision of a staff team.
·• NVQ level 3 or above in Health and Social care or equivalent.
·• Must have good computer skills.
·• Self-Motivated
·• Flexible working hours
·• Good Team Worker
·• Able to work under own initiative
·• Good Communicator
·• Have an understanding of a needs-led outcomes-based service
·• Committed to quality care and services provision
·• Able to work under pressure
·• Able to maintain confidentiality
