Salary: £24,480-£25,112 Per Annum

Overview:
The Early Intervention Programme Facilitator (You, Me and Us Worker) is responsible for delivering tailored support to individuals fleeing domestic abuse through the implementation of an intervention known as You, Me and Us. This role presents an exciting opportunity to assist victims and survivors of domestic abuse with complex needs, offering support to those who wish to remain in their relationships or collaboratively co-parent with their partners. The intervention aims to prevent the perpetuation of abuse by intervening at its early stages. The Early Intervention Facilitator will conduct group sessions and provide individual support, empowering participants to make positive choices, improve safety, self-confidence, and self-worth.
Key Responsibilities:
·Deliver the You, Me and Us programme to both partners of the relationship in group settings and provide individual support to victims.
·Explore relationship dynamics including safety, communication, and children, and equip participants with skills to manage difficult situations and emotions.
·Recognize and manage thoughts and emotions to prevent escalation into abusive behaviors.
·Work collaboratively with participants to develop strategies for conflict resolution and healthy communication.
·Empower victims and survivors to make informed decisions and improve their overall well-being.
·Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions with participants.
·Provide support during the service operating hours, including evenings, weekends, and on-call services for emergencies and refuge referrals.
·Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure coordinated support for participants.
·Maintain accurate records of participant interactions and program delivery.
Qualifications and Requirements:
·Experience working with individuals affected by domestic abuse and complex needs.
·Knowledge of domestic abuse dynamics, trauma-informed care principles, and conflict resolution techniques.
·Strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
·Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts.
·Valid driver’s license and access to a car for work-related travel across multiple sites in Portsmouth.
·Sensitivity to diverse cultural backgrounds and ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
