Senior Support Worker – Domestic Abuse

LEAD REFUGE SUPPORT WORKER – DOMESTIC ABUSE – COMPLEX NEEDS – PORTSMOUTH – £12.82 PER HOUR
 
MONDAY TO FRIDAY 9AM TO 5PM – OWN TRANSPORT REQUIRED
 
White Knight Recruitment are working in partnership with an innovative and unique provider of all services to those affected by domestic abuse. 
 
Key responsibilities of this role:
 
·Provide a comprehensive package of support to victims of domestic abuse who have additional complex needs
·Intensive daily support to a small number of refuge clients who need additional support addressing substance misuse, mental or physical health, finances, offending and immigration
·Proactively work to recognise and implement solution focused actions for clients living in refuge, and through to their resettlement
·Provide additional expertise to the wider team and enrich the service with specialist knowledge and guidance
Experience required:
 
·Previous experience working within a support-based role
·Previous experience developing and delivering tailored support to clients who have complex needs
·Knowledge of SMART goals and experience of setting this with clients
·Experience of safeguarding children and vulnerable adults and mandatory reporting
·Knowledge and understanding of the impact of domestic abuse on women and children
·Experience of effective, person centred support planning
