Learning Disabilities Support Worker
£10.92-£11.12 Per Hour
An opportunity has become available for an experienced support worker to join a leading provider of care and support for adults living with autism.
This is a great chance for an individual that enjoys building rapport with others and engaging with people to build on their basic life skills and gain further independence in their own homes.
I have a number of roles available including full time and part time support worker positions. You will play a vital role in supporting individuals in their home, focusing on their specific requirements and encouraging independence, enabling them to lead a fulfilling life.
In this role, you will:
·Offer enhanced care with a flexible learning approach for all the people in our care
·To support and enable people we support to attend relevant medical appointments such as GP, Hospital, Dietician and Dental appointments.
·To support and enable people we support to maintain their health, well-being and general appearance such as support with purchasing toiletries, clothing and arranging hair dressing appointments.
·Provide guidance & encouragement through physical & emotional support
·Learn about individuals’ specific needs & provide help in the most appropriate way
·Assist with medical & welfare needs and report as required
·Safeguard residents
·The opportunity to support residents to attend activities within the community such as bowling, cinema, restaurant visits, swimming, and many more!
