COMPLEX NEEDS SUPPORT WORKER – DOMESTIC ABUSE – SOUTHAMPTON – £24,969.60- £25,614.24

This great charity is dedicated to providing support and interventions to empower individuals and families affected by domestic abuse. We are committed to breaking the cycle of domestic violence and creating safe environments for all.
The focus of this role is to deliver a comprehensive package of support to people experiencing domestic abuse with diverse and complex needs. Victims/Survivors will receive significantly increased support to maintain their current accommodation/access suitable accommodation, to resettle in the community and to experience refuge provision that meets their needs.
Key responsibilities of this role:
·To provide intensive support (up to daily) to victims and survivors who have additional support needs such as substance/alcohol misuse, physical health, mental health, finances, housing, and immigration
·To work collaboratively with victims and survivors to identify their needs, supporting referrals to and engagement with other specialist services
·To work directly with all agencies and will increase expertise across the charity, raising standards, creating pathways of support, and strengthening support networks for those with multiple and complex needs
·To provide advice by telephone and face-to-face to assist victims and survivors experiencing domestic abuse to understand the services available and make choices about their own future
Experience required:
·Previous experience working within a support-based role
·Previous experience developing and delivering tailored support to clients who have complex needs
·Knowledge of SMART goals and experience of setting this with clients
·Experience of safeguarding children and vulnerable adults and mandatory reporting
·Knowledge and understanding of the impact of domestic abuse on women and children
·Experience of effective, person centred support planning
